Enjoy! - Vic Kirby, The 2009 "Jammin For The Animals" Program:Miguel De Hoyos and Alex DePue Dave De La Valle, Jesse Hamilton and Deb MoreySinger/guitarist and Pescadero resident, Dave De La Valle, learned to sing in the high school choir. Bonnie Raitt's cousin John was in the band, and her nieces sang in the same choir. Dave picked up his brother's guitar at 15 and hasn't stopped playing since. Dave's repetoire ranges from sixties hits to Latin love songs. Dave's current goal is to open a guitar/Spanish school in Pescadero. In addition to his music, Dave and his wife, Sue, are also active in local animal welfare efforts. Dave was joined by Jesse Hamilton on bass and Deb Morey on backing vocals. Jesse is known for his vocal renditions of Elvis and Johnny Cash tunes. All three provided a unique and entertaining vocal blend. Greg KitchelAnother fine local guitarist, singer and composer, Greg Kitchel's musical style can best be described as "Americana." Greg tells stories set to song with a wry humor about the pitfalls and perils and sometimes the joys of life in this interesting time.
Dominique Sawyer and The Home WreckersConsisting of Dominique Sawyer on lead vocals and Von Hodad on Bass The Home Wreckers tore down the house with a fine blend of rockin' good dance music, covering popular tunes from the Rolling Stones to KC and The Sunshine Band. Tracy Durland and Lars PointerTracy Durland is following in the footsteps of four generations of musicians in her family as she develops her personal style as a jazz singer. She grew up surrounded by music early on and was influenced by many of her favorites, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, and more directly by her own mother who was a radio soloist and backup singer in the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Recently she has discovered that a passion for singing that lay dormant for years as she was mothering 4 children, teaching, and later homesteading in northern New Mexico now has taken hold of her soul and flows freely here in Todos Santos. Lars-Erik Pointer is a guitarist visiting Todos Santos from Bigfork, Montana. Lars has performed throughout his life as a soloist and band member in such diverse places as Copenhagen, Paris, London, Helsinki and the western states of the USA. During the last 2 years he and Tracy have been sharing their musical talents as they create a program with a blend of jazz, latin, and original songs by Lars. Daryl Currie - Pianist, Guitarist, Singer...Daryl Currie studied jazz piano and has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Has played in jazz festivals including the Montreal International Jazz festival, and the Ottawa and Halifax Jazz and Folk Festivals. Darryl has studied improviastion and composition with some world-class musicians including jazz musician and clinician Jamie Aebersol, Kevin Dean, Miroslav Vitous, Don Ross (guitar) Ed Bickert (guitar) Dan Hearle, and Jim McNeely. Daryl makes a living playing freelance in and around los Cabos. You can catch them in between their busy theater schedule playing old classics and great dance tunes at Hotel California.
