New Rock Art Painting Walk - An indigenous culture that persisted for possibly 1,000 years is now long gone, but evidence that the Guaycura once lived and thrived here in Baja is all around us. Come join us and a local anthropologist to explore a rock art site that is still not open to the general public. Located on a lovely old working ranch along the former Camino de las Misiones, this walk features not only rock art, but other evidence of the Guaycura civilization including grinders, mortars and even some arrowheads. It's a terrific walk through the history of Baja. - Sergio Jauregui, TSEcoAdventures [- at -] hotmail.com, www.tosea.net, 612-14-50189, Baja California Sur

The Naked Acting Company - La Paz's new English language theatre company wants to thank our community for booking us solid for our Salon on Jan 19th and our Encore on Feb 23rd. On March 14, 2013, our theme is: "Let There Be Light" Come help the Naked Acting Company get their lighting system by attending their benefit. Big talent and small surprises in the magical garden of La Ecantada, La Paz. Details coming soon.
The Naked Acting Company is an international group of professional and amateur artists and craftspeople who have joined forces to create a quality English language theatre in La Paz. Our vision is to create fresh and contemporary work that illuminates the human experience as only theatre can. So much of modern life Is "canned" -- we see our shows as a way to participate in our community with authenticity and liveliness –values we cherish in La Paz itself.
Our extensive mission in this beloved city is to spawn a cultural exchange between the Mexican and local international communities using the English language as a bridge. These efforts will be guided by a philosophy of "nakedness," which means we will stress the actor/audience connection beyond production values and strive to always look "underneath" the dressings that keep us apart. We look forward to bringing our friends and neighbors together. If you would like to be added to our mailing list to ensure you receive information on our upcoming events, please contact cindycrane090 [- at -] gmail.com. - Cindy Crane, La Paz

Taxi Harassment At Los Cabos Resorts - Courtesy of the Gringo Gazette: Be Careful Picking Up Friends. Be aware that there is a man stationed at every resort looking for people who are picking up tourists from the resort. They work for the taxi and tour bus organization and are trying to force all our visitors into using cabs for every movement. They look like cops, threaten to fine you, and they have been known to impound cars. If you pick up friends more than a few times from the same resort expect to be stopped by these watch men. - Courtesy, Baja Pony Express

More Phishing Attempts - Beware of Spam Mail going around that attempts to steal your Gmail log in information. This spam links to a hacked web site where some criminal has planted a Phishing page disguised to look like it's from Gmail:
From: "NOREPLY [- at -] noreply" <eichstaedt49 [- at -] gmail.com>Look carefully at the URL the Phisher sent: http://www.gmail.com.workoutsfor6packabs.com/GmailRecovery/gmail.htm. You can break the link down into three parts. This first part, http://www.gmail.com., looks convincing but it's bogus and intended to mislead you. Notice the dot after the .com: http://www.gmail.com. . This is a dead giveaway that gmail.com is not the real site. You have to look past the dot to find the real site.
This part in the middle is where the real web site is identified. Look for the last .com followed by a single forward slash "/" (not a dot) That will help you spot the real web site where the hacker has planted his dirty work: workoutsfor6packabs.com/
The last part after workoutsfor6packabs.com/ is a path through a couple of directories the Phisher created that are also intended to mislead you into thinking this is Gmail's site: /GmailRecovery/gmail.htm
The page, gmail.htm, is where he planted his bogus Phishing page (the page has since been taken down by the victimized web site owner).
Distrust everything you receive by Email and inspect carefully any URL before clicking on it. More tips on how to spot bogus Phishing Emails here: http://www.wikihow.com/Spot-an-Email-Hoax-or-Phishing-Scam - Alan Thompson, alan [- at -] BajaSatellite.com

He had a collar on which I had to cut off since it was too tight. The female is a very sweet dog and still young. It would be best if someone could take both since they are such good buddies.
